HBO announced last August that the Sopranos would finish with a 20-episode run that would be broken up over the next two years. However the cast is not too happy about this classification.
Key supporting-cast members, including Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico, Steven Van Zandt, Steven R. Schirripa, whose character is Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri, are arguing that the additional eight shows constitute a new season, and they want their contracts renegotiated, people close to the situation said.
James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, and Lorraine Bracco have all been given an increase for the final 8.(
